  2. hey, can anyone tell if the winter i-ready scores usually go up a lot from the fall ones? my kiddo seemed to do okay but im not sure what to expect. thanks for any input!

    1. Liz, in my experience, there’s usually an improvement! The kids get more used to the test format, and the schools often focus on skills gaps. Keep encouraging your kiddo!

  3. Fascinating breakdown of i-Ready scores. It’s interesting to see how performance expectations adjust throughout the year. It gives a cool insight into educational progress metrics.

  4. What would be a above standard score for a 7th Grader doing the spring diagnostic
    Thanks in advance

  5. Hi my son is in 3rd grade he scored 457 in math and 522 in reading .. is that good score ? what is the percentile?

  6. hey i-Ready, if i watch TV all spring does my score go up or nah? asking for a friend haha

  7. I get why they do these tests but really, do they actually tell us anything useful about learning, or just who’s good at taking tests? feels kinda like we’re missing the point.

    1. While it’s true that test scores only provide a snapshot of a student’s abilities, these diagnostics can be incredibly valuable for identifying strengths and weaknesses, allowing teachers to tailor their approach to individual student needs.

  8. This is an interesting analysis, but how accurately do these i-Ready diagnostic scores reflect actual reading ability? It seems like there would be a significant variance based on a student’s test-taking skills and environmental factors on the day of the test. Has i-Ready provided data on the reliability of these scores across diverse educational settings?
